Good Girl Gone Bad is the third studio album Rihanna, released May-June, 2007. Recording sessions for the album took place during October 2006 to April 2007. Rihanna worked with producers Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, Evan Rogers, Carl Sturken, Ne-Yo, StarGate, and Timbaland. Departing from the dancehall influence of her previous albums, Good Girl Gone Bad contains up-tempo and ballad-oriented songs, and it heavily incorporates pop and dance-pop musical styles. It was re-released as Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded in June 2008. Good Girl Gone Bad, which became their most successful album of his career selling over 10.3 million copies and produced three singles number one in the United States as "Umbrella", "Take a Bow" and "Disturbia," also the album featured such international hits as "Do not Stop the Music" "Hate That I Love You" and "Shut Up And Drive". The album was nominated for nine Grammy Awards, winning Best Rap / Sung Collaboration with the single "Umbrella".
RATED R is the fourth studio album by Rihanna, released November 20, 2009. Recording sessions for the album took place during March to November 2009 at several recording studios, and production was handled primarily by Chase & Status, StarGate, The-Dream, Ne-Yo, and Brian Kennedy. Conceived after Rihanna's assault by her then-boyfriend, singer Chris Brown, Rated R features a prominent foreboding and angry tone, in terms of musical and lyrical direction, and incorporates elements of hip hop, rock, and dubstep.
Her fourth studio album, Rated R sold sold over 3.6 million copies. Loud is the fifth studio album by Rihanna, first released on November 12, 2010, by Def Jam Recordings. The album was recorded between February and August 2010, predominantly during Rihanna's Last Girl on Earth Tour and filming for her first feature film Battleship (2012). Rihanna was executive producer on the album and worked with several record producers, including StarGate, The Runners, Polow da Don, Tricky Stewart, and Alex da Kid, among others. The album featured several guest vocalists, including Drake, Nicki Minaj and Eminem, who is featured on the sequel to "Love the Way You Lie", "Love the Way You Lie (PART II)", where Rihanna sang lead vocals. Britney Spears appears on the remix of the single version of "S&M" , although she is not on the album version. His fifth studio album has sold over 5 million copies album also features other hits like "California King Bed," "Man Down" and "Cheers (Drink to That)"


Upon its release, Talk That Talk received generally  reviews from music critics. The album debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200, with first week sales of 198,000 copies in the United States. As of July 2012, the album has sold 964,087 copies in the United States. The album peaked at number one in Austria, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, where it debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, selling 163,000 copies in its first week. As of December 2011, the album has been certified two-times platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for shipments of 600,000 copies.
